I stumbled across this utterly delightful illustration from a 1948 children's book -- it's from Railways under London by Marie Neurath, published by Isotype Books:


I know nothing about that book but I now want a copy.

But have you seen how much some second-hand books like this cost? abebooks is currently listing a very used copy for £80, no less!

Alas, I can't find any other illustrations from it on t'web.
