Ways of living
While I'm banging on about Isotype, one last thing I have to share with you:
It's a Chinese house, but it reminded me of the work of Japanese architect Tadao Ando about which I was banging on a few days ago.

That looks remarkably like a siheyuan, a court-yard house, most well-known from the hutong district in Beijing. Most have been demolished but a small protected area remains, presumably kept for their historic and or tourist value.
It's called a si he yuan. You can fit your whole family around a single courtyard so everyone can be in everyone else's business all the time. Very fun!

That's exactly what it is. One of the few occasions in living memory in which I've agreed with Prince Charles -- that these are worth preserving.
