Transport fabric

Perhaps tragically, I've always been interested in industrial fabrics:


As you will have guessed from the logo buried in the design, that was a London Transport moquette from before the Second World War.


Most of these designs are from London Transport in the 1930s or 40s (one or two might be from mainline railway companies).


Most of them use the same simple colour palette -- rather effectively, I would say.


While many of them are geometric, some are rather more organic:


Modern London transport fabrics tend to use more vibrant colours, but they tend to have flatter patterns:


And some of them use rather dowdy colours, too.


No, I prefer the 1930s and 40s materials.
