This year's London World Naked Bike Ride takes place next Saturday, 12 June.
I regret to inform you that I'll be out of the country on that date, so obviously I won't be able to provide you with a host of my top quality voyeuristic shots (like these ones, taken at last year's gloriously sunny event).
Inevitably I'll be trawling flickr for other people's shots, but it won't be the same...
Equally, some talented reader out there may wish to take loads of shots and become the Reciprocating Motion Official Photographer.
No credits or rewards go with this role (other than bragging rights and seeing your talents displayed on here for all the world to admire).
But do feel free to pencil the date into your diary.
You know you want to give something back...

WNBR is also taking place here in San Diego, California next weekend. Unfortunately, there is a city ordinance prohibiting public nudity. Despite that, I think there will still be a pretty good turn out.
Hello. I'm sorry you won't be in town to take more exquisite photos this year. Very nice photography.
I am glad that San Diego is climbing aboard. A beautiful city with unbeatable weather should make for a great, scantily-clad time for all.
You don't have a follower gadget installed. How are we suppose to follow you? Bookmarking is so yesterday.
See you at Flickr trawling for photos after next weekend.
Take care. Nkdgyz
Dio: I just don't understand this anti-nakedness thing. Some English guy has been campaigning for years to be allowed to be naked in public: he keeps being arrested and slung in jail. How is that helping anyone?
Nkdgyz: Thanks for the kind words. And if I knew what a follower gadget was, I might install one. You guys don't believe me when I say I'm a techno-idiot, but really -- I am.
That is a darn shame that you are unaware of the follower gadget, especially since you are a self-proclaimed know-it-all.
Oh, the irony!
The Naked Rambler? Yeah, his predicament is a shame.
The follower gadget is an easy-to-install thingy you can access in your blog dashboard and that is all I can remember of it at the moment. It is an effective way to keep tabs on blogs you like. Once installed, everyone who follows you can see your updates in their blog dashboard below where it shows how many comments you have waiting to be approved.
Good luck figuring it out if you are up to looking into it. There are like 15,000 gadgets available to add to blogs the same way.
They are just another example of how we are doomed to never simplify the world we live in.
Like the zillions of phone apps. Gadgets are blog apps. I'm no tech guy myself, but I got it to work.
:-) <- that's me smiling.
Have a good day. Mkdgyz
Er... something called "Followers" has now been installed. It looks aesthetically offensive and like some sort of advert. I may delete it unless you tell me it's essential. Oh, and do let me know if it's the wrong thing.
I'm probably going to go into town just to take some photos this year of the cycle ride unless the weather's bad on Saturday. I don't expect they'll be as good as yours because I'm impressed by the quality of the photos you take. I'd be very pleased if you could suggest some good spots to take photos from. I promise to concentrate on the good looking ones, while trying to avoid arrest! Thanks. Richard
Doesn't the RSS thingy do the same thing? I'm told through my bookmarks whenever LeDuc posts words of wisdom, naked men, winkies, photos of trains and buildings etc etc.
I use Safari and it displays as a blue box with RSS in it in the address box. If you click on it, let it open the RSS window and then store that RSS address in your bookmarks, it'll tell you when new posts are made. I think the symbol is different if you use Firefox or IE.
Richard: Well done! There are two places to be: at the start of the event you need to be just inside the park at Hyde Park Corner. The riders leave by quite a narrow road, so there's a nice concentration of them.
And you should be waiting for them at the end of the route, at the Wellington Arch. If you have a zoom lens, try standing on the plinth of the Royal Artillery Memorial.
Good luck.
Sticks: I understand each of the individual words you used (with the exception of "RSS"), but I don't understand them in that order. I have no idea!
Oh my, where to begin. You added a follower gadget. You did so kicking and screaming, but now that it's done you can take a deep breath and pat yourself on the back. Well done.
The only thing essential at your blog is you, the blogmaster.
RSS feeds. I have never looked into them. I askidentally clicked on post comments under "subscribe to" at the bottom of the post and it took me to a fresh page that will allow me to subscribe to your blog using RSS feeds. I guess they are sort of built-in.
These are simply ways to allow fans of your blog to keep tabs on what is new here. They should cause you no further or extra work once they are here. I think the same is true of most gadgets. Once installed, they do their thing and you do yours.
Thanks for adding the follower gadget (added at least for the time being). If you regret it you can blame me. :-)
I would love to be at London's WNBR on Saturday. London knows how to put on a WNBR.
Mike
