In the hard, cold light of day, will their competitive relationship allow them to back down or can they actually go through with it?
Our heroes are suitably manly (ie, all pot-belly and unkempt stubble), and their intense rivalry reminds me of some of my straight men friends. It feels authentic, and yet you find yourself smiling at the absurdity of their friendly (but deadly serious) posturing.
It's unfortunate that the film can't, er, sustain itself to the climax, instead limply wimping out. But the journey has been immense fun.

i THOROUGLY enjoyed it!!! one of the better comedies of the year hands down. really well scripted. perhaps a shade overlong but really, minor quibbles
