Manners maketh man

I always loved comedy series The Smoking Room (and how weird is that concept going to seem in just a few years time?).

The audacity of setting a sitcom in a single claustrophobic space, part of an anonymous company (where "shop talk" was always forbidden, so we never really found out much about it), with a rolling cast of characters just chatting about stuff... Genius.

And one of the very best characters was Clint, the useless maintenance guy -- played by Fraser Ayres. Who, it turns out, is a yoga expert and also offers one-to-one tuition for those of you who happen to live in Colchester. Hence the poses Fraser adopts in this photo set.

I was reminded of Fraser the other evening, while watching director Philip Ridley's new demon/vampirey film Heartless (more of which another time). Fraser has a teeny tiny role in it, unlike his role in another vampire telly thing whose name currently escapes me, which ended with Fraser giving us an extended and rather glorious full-frontal.

Is it just me who immediately thought, on seeing that photo (above), "I wonder if he can...?"

Anyway, this is just an opportunity to thank Fraser for sharing his winkie with us in the earlier programme, and to commend him on his fitness routine. Very nice indeed.

Thanks, Fraser!
