When seeing those photos i try to determine where they were taken. The middle one in the post from monday seems to be taken in the US; sleepers densely laid out and rails nailed directly to the sleepers.
The lower photo from this post with the interesting angle: buffer beam with square buffers, hook and link coupling, seem to be steel sleepers, but i have no clue which european country.
BTW in my point of view an interesting blog is characterized by the writings and pictures, and also by the topics chosen as we see them here: trains, planes, winkies, architecture and the latest addition (at least for me) of buses.
The lad between the couplings has one hot body!
